What Life Jacket?
Any Life Jacket - just fit it properly and wear it...
Linky
"Three brothers have drowned off the coast of Co Waterford.
The Irish Coastguard said the bodies of the men were recovered this evening in waters just outside Tramore Bay.
It is understood the men had been fishing in a small boat which capsized.
Two of the bodies have been brought to Dunmore East by the lifeboat while the third body was brought to Waterford Airport by the search and rescue helicopter."

This terrible tragedy happened when we finished our holidays in Oban last year and these poor kids were wearing pfd's but I believe the wrong type for there age as the buoyancy was to much it pushed there faces into the water. So like Mick says, make sure small kiddies wear foam LJ with a collar.

That said, it is a big jump in both your confidence as a helm and your view of your children's stamina / sense / ability to go from no risk foam to an inflatable jacket.
Still, they survived the Round the Iow!!!

Really I didn't know that - what evidence is there to support this?
