What model?

I am new to ribs and I just bought an older(1985) avon rib, How do I find out what model it is? and any more information about it. All that I have is the serial number..to go by.

Thanks,Rodney.

It might be worth speaking to Avon directly or put some pic's up... i'm sure the Avon enthusiasts would be able to identify for you.

Welcome to RIBnet, that looks like a well looked after boat for its age. I'm sure someone will be along soon with the info you need. Happy ribbing.

Thanks for the replies, that is what I was thinking, The previous owner had a 50hp 2 stroke on her, I opted for a 30 for now, but hope to upgrade to a 40 four stroke next season. There is also a plan to lower the console and move it foreward and attach a seat of some kind, Right now I have to stand up all the time... but I hope to have a lot of fun with it...

Thanks again,Rodney

Sorry about my friend, he was your age when he started fitting out his Vipermax but now has his name down on the Zimmer frame waiting list

Normally within a week but which then became the end of July

However the latest news today is that there may be a light at the end of the tunnel so fingers crossed Seawolf will not have paddles for primary propulsion!
