What type of RIB is this......

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RIB-BOAT-5-MET...item20addffd83

To my uneducated little brain I initially thought Avon but the hull looks very different

Not an Avon, years ago RIB International tested a triple hull but it was alot bigger than 3m, looks interesting if nothing else.

That was my first ever effort at fibreglass, and to be honest was pretty poor. Paul Tilly bought it in the end for the tubes; someone got hold of the mould and wanted to take the boat back into production. He bought mine with the intention of taking the tubes apart carefully and using the pieces for templates for the new ones. I saw a new one at RIBex about three years ago, although haven't heard any more about them since. I'm guessing my old hull probably ended up in a skip.

That's a shame. Looks interesting, maybe worth looking into what happened with the idea.

Blagg Bosun

Recently retubed a Blagg Bosun and also a couple of Bosun's Mates. The Blagg Bosun moulds were shipped to New Zealand.

Both models highly respected in their time.
