Drift HD 170 Stealth. Has some very good mounting options, I can mount on a helmit if I had one but usually mount on bar across the top of my console or round the flag pole at the rear. It has been hit twice by a large wall of water and is still intact and water tight.

We'll have lots soon depending on WiFi coverage in different ports! The tests so far are at least as good as GoPro but with a screen viewfinder and player as well as a zoom facility.

anyone found any mac software for the veho muvi, just bought the hd10, didn't realise how tiny it is. Just charging out of the box now. One thing i noticed is the micro sd card goes a long way in. Anyone work out whether the micro sd card contacts should face towards the lens or towards the display? cheers

Should only go one way.

it appears the contacts point towards the display - word of warning though - make sure the micro sd card is lined up with the holder, it can go down the back of it if you're not watching as the slot at the top is quite wide.

Does the 'self timer' on the Veho HD allow you self time a still phot each minute ( like the Go pro).

If its good enough for Cookee I reckon its going to be good enough for me. There seem to be endless options for it , but all I want is the camera, waterproof housing and somehting to bolt it to my a frame.

Are there any real shops I can go in to actually hold one and and make sure I get the right mount etc ..or are they all just online ?

i got mine from staples in southampton but they come in a sealed box so you can't 'play with them.

This is what i'm using on top of my a frame when the mount arrives. The mount base is 137x100mm and fits perfectly onto the flat plate on my a frame. I see you are in hants, you're welcome to look at mine but bear in mind i only got it today so i'm no expert.

Takes about 4-4.5 hrs to charge for the first time from computer usb. On the box it says comes fully charged but mine wasn't. Spoke to veho and this is normal. Some are fully charged and some aren't, depends which batch you get.

Thanks - I tried the staples route but they had all sold out. Looks like amazon can do all the bits i need ( camera, waterproof case and roll bar mount) , but of course the roll bar mount is up to 5cm tube and my a-frame is 2 inches or 5.02cm ...typical !

southampton had some at 1100 this morning, and i had one behind the counter as well. You could use the mount which fits on the webbing strap and then put that around the a frame. With the hd10 i was amazed at the amount of mounts that come 'free' in the box. something in there will work for you, it's like alladins cave the amount of bits they fit in there! Ask them if they still have one behind the counter for 'Paul', you're welcome to it, they had a few others as well.

Yep! The memory card only goes in one way, but from reading your later posts I guess you're sorted now.

I got one at Staples in Dunstable this morning. This left them with the display model (which they were willing to discount) and one other. I ordered the extra mounts case etc. on line at :

Computer Components, PC, Laptop, PC Monitors and Computer, PC Components Specialists - CCL Computers - CCL Computers for the Case and pole/bar mount

and

Evans Cycles | Mountain Bike | Trek & Specialized Bikes | UK Bike Shop for the tripod mount.

It was amazing how much the extras varied in price between suppliers.
