I think that it a sad reflection on society (and on Ribnet) that the question of what to do with found property even has to be asked.

Incidentaly it was Mike Garside who returned the dingy to the loser last year found at the Ribnet gathering.

My first reply applies to found property and not marine salvage.

Whilst I would like.......

.......very much to keep the little darling, I'd like to think I'd made at least some efort to return it. I've read the above with interest - thanks. I've just put the phone down from the plolice and have an "Event Number" I'll now call the local CG and I'll also put a not in the club house, however, that's about as far as I can be bothered.

This is a shite world and most don't give a flying s*it if you ask me, however, equally there are just as many nice folk like me/us out there so lets keep our ever dwingeling number together as best we ca.

Just a quick true story....my friends cleaner was staying in her chalet one weekend and whilst walking on the beach she found a gold and dimond rolex - yes a true story - she handed it in to the reception we have here on our site and about 2 hours later a woman came to her chalet to thank her for finding it. As a gesture of gratitude she gave her a box of milk tray.

Now, what would you have done in that situation - Me - I'd have kept it - now question.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted and "no" this is not the usual MeMe fishing trip - honest.

Well I can't do any.....

........more than I've done. Police, H.M.C.G, signs in the club, reception and even the beach launching service.

It'll sit outside my chalet until it's either claimed or next season arrives where upon I'll be after a nice little 8hp to sit on the tail - Is that ok with you guys ?

Actually - does anybody really know the law on this one ? Anyway, with a little luck the owner will turn up with a crate of Stella and take her away thus saving me £500 on an engine.

Think you've done more than enough, if not I'll quite happily give you a crate of Stella for her and save you £500

Good news I suppose.....

......a grumpy bloke turned up yesterday and took her away. He came and went within 5 minutes without as much as a decent hand shake or a cheap bottle of blue nun. Oh well, I'll know better next time.
