What's me old rib worth?
Trying to decide whether to sell my 1990 tornado 4.5m rib or trade it in against a new boat.
The hull and console are ok, (been kept off the water in a garage for the past 20 years, was originally antifouled) but the original tubes have definitely gone and it needs a retube.
So I guess I'm looking for a value of the bare hull and console, steering and possibly including a 2 year old roller coaster swing trailer.
Have no photos at the moment. Rough ideas needed really.
Thanks all

Not much I'm afraid. Excluding the trailer a couple of hundred tops, probably less. I got a bare 4m Searider hull on eBay for 99p once!

With the trailer, what would you like to achieve? What colour is the RIB/TUBE?

I'm not sure you will get that, have you tried asking the re-tube companies to see if they want it?
But you never know ebay can be a good place with the right advert etc..

How dead are the tubes? Your idea of dead and an ebay buyer's might be different.

They need topping up every 3 hours. They totally deflate over 3 days, baffles are gone and there are over 20 small patches on them... dead

Thats a good rib, if you are looking to change to a new rib of a similar size then I would re-tube instead and you would have in effect a new rib with a good trailer

Good advice from two stroke. See it as a project. Get a quote for a retube, sort out the hull first, retube & new console if needed, bang on an engine & off you go. Or work out what you can spend and buy something of the same value that doesn't need work and ebay what you have.
