The RAF done well as usual, professional approach to the situation, which is a lot more than a recent incident that the US Coastguard we involved with...

Very poignant incident

However it illustrates very clearly that proper safety gear is also essential for giving "closure" to families and loved ones and reducing the length of time those involved in SAR are exposed to risk.
