Where can I get floor matting?
Hi all,
Does anyone know where I can get some of the floor matting I have seen recently laid in newish ribs. Its like a soft loop rubberised type of flooring, almost like one half of a massive piece of velcro.
It looks really good for trapping dirt and creating an anti slip surface. It also seems to be removable and can be washed down with a hose.
Thanks.
Stu.

Flomat is what you're after, looks like pubic hair. It was on my boat when I bought it, google it or contact BHG in Lymington as I think they supplied it in the first place.

Oh, thanks for that mental image swapout fella. Previously if I'd been told to picture a RIB with a huge tw@t in it, I'd have thought of "Hey Joe"...

Is it German or can you get it in long narrow strips?
I bought some rubber matting from Makro, not quite what you're looking for but it does a great job & I didn't have to sell a kidney, I did the whole boat for about 50 quid. The mats are thick soft rubber punched through with 20mm ish holes, it's sold as comfort matting for machine operators, it reduces leg fatigue. I found it's much more comfortable to stand on long trips & protects the deck from camping/diving gear etc. I'll get a photo if you're interested.

Worth having a look at EVA utility mats by Cannon on e-bay. 2ft square, about 1inch thick, soft foam rubber with holes for drainage. They link together & are very easy to cut or trim to suit floor size. Soft under foot & take the shock if you drop anything (in our case, dive kit!)
£1.99 each!!!!!
Had them fitted for over a year now & still looking good!

Cheers for the reply's funny and serious, i like the look of the flomat but at £49 for a 2m x 2m piece its pretty pricey.
Basically i want something nice looking, comfortable and hard wearing to protect the deck from bumps and scrapes to keep my very pristine 550 open pro in good order.
