Where is she now?
Just finished completing Spirits predicted drift given the last seven days weather and it looks like she is 300 miles east of Norway. Her predicited land fall is in 5 -6 days time somewhere around the Loften Isles. If any RIBNET members are up that way keep an eye out, I really do miss my best pair of jeans that I had to leave behind! Alan P

Avanti, Fjordrafting and any other ribnet members from Norway,
Keep a lookout, for The Spirit.
Spread the word, we might be able to salvage this vessel. If there is anything left.
I will be happy to drive to Norway to collect what can be collected, and ship it back to Alan.
Glad to see you back and safe Alan and Crew
Kathleen, keep up the good work, you are truely a supportive person.
Regards
Rene

East, Alan?
There would be something satisfying about knowing the final end.

Hi Alan. There are probably a few well-dressed fish swimming around out there.

Sorry the "w" is next to the "e", I meant West. And as for pre writing arcticles, never again, it must be an omen, a bit like whisling on the boat. Very bad luck. Alan P

Are we to assume that the boat does not have an EPIRB?

I didn't know that. I whistle a lot. I need to be careful.
Do think Spirit is still floating? I reckon she could easily be. There'll be lots of bouyancy, even the diesel is lighter than water.

Your being very PC Richard, the other bad luck omen is women on board, but as you didn't suggest it I won't either cos WW3 would break out

Manos. It is mandatory to remove and or disarm all emergancy beacons when the rescue has been completed to aviod any further confusion at SAR headquarters. Alan P
