Where is she now?
A few years ago I looked at a Redbay that was for sale by auction at Silverlake Recycling near Botley in Hampshire.
From memory it was 8m with a Yanmar inboard and outdrive.
The hull and tubes were all in yellow and it was perched on a caravan chassis trailer.
It had obviously been left ashore for a long time as the engine bay was half full of rainwater and there was a ‘high tide mark’ some way up the engine block.
The tubes were flat and very faded as was the hull . Seats were shot and all instruments looked knackered.
A friend and I thought it was worth a look and it would sell for next to nothing .
How wrong we were ! We dropped out of the bidding when it passed 2k and I think it sold for over 6k .
So anyone on here buy it ?
