Where to gain Rib experience?

Hi people,

I have been a keen water sports enthusiast for some time and with my love for engines as well I thought it was about time I took my level 2 powerboat qualification.

Really once I have passed my test I'm looking to gain some experience on the open water before going out and purchasing my first run.

Does anyone have any suggestions where I can gain some experience? Happy to volunteer at clubs...

I live in Surrey so places near there please.

Many thanks

Josh

Sailing clubs often struggle to find safety boat helms to cover their dinghy racing (usually every Sunday). If you had your PB2 and Safety boat qualifications, and were prepared to give up your time most Sundays, I'm sure you would get lots of boat helming experience. Just contact every local sailing club and ask to speak to their Rear Commodore of Sail.
