Where to launch

Try MYLOR Harbour

There is a good wide slip which is not too steep and fairly long.
It's cheap and may even be a public slip, there is good parking for trailer and car.
The fishermen use it to land their scollops so it's busy around early evening.
Full marina and chandlery services on site
Also Ganges Restaurant good for entertaining clients/guests.
It's a mile or two from Falmouth harbour proper where the council run a slip, also wide and not steep but secure parking is less clearly defined.

Grove Place Boatyard - right next to the National Maritime Museum, good slip, costs £6ish. Close to falmouth divers and the town centre.

I use Grove Place myself, I would not like to try and get my car and boat down the road to Mylor.

I thought you might be interested in a preview of the electronic Boatlaunch Guide, due out in May of this year. The attachment shows a screen shot of the Falmouth area. You will be able to click on any of the icons for more information and download the position data into your GPS.

Use Mylor Yacht Harbour

I used it last year, when I went on the Scillies cruise.
Friendly people plenty of parking, wide slip with pontoon.

Whilst its country roads the last couple of miles they are plenty wide enough, heck the bus goes down them so your boat will.

Chandlery, cafe etc onsite. B&B's in the nearby village or a couple of cottages for rent on the water front.
