Where to train.
Simple question complex answer I suspect.
I looking to do the Level 2 course somewhere costal and some where reasonable close to Manchester so any where on the NW or NWales coast I guess.
Who would you recommend and why?
My thoughts so far
Safewater - well recommended but much more expensive than most
Seawake - good price and location
Plas Menai - likewise.
Cheers

I would recommend Seawake as their bloke DM is a ribnetter...
...that and if you should get into any "bother" around Caernarfon, he's handy with a crossbow

I did mine at Safewater, 10yrs ago now, but they were/are very good, have you tried asking for a cheaper quote, they do like a bit of wheeling n dealing

Plas Menai, did mine last year, good price (even staying over for two nights) cheaper than premier inn etc, went up and down Menai straights several times.

Not sure if they're doing training at the moment, but Wavelength (who operate out of the Wyre just North of Blackpool) were brilliant. Very friendly family team and excellent, sensible teaching methods.
Top catering too!

sorry guys as said run off our feet at the moment although when the weather gets better we will try to squeeze a few days in but cannot guarantee when.
It grieves me to send folk elsewhere but we always recommend Safewater when we are unable to help potential clients. Brian and I worked together a lot in the early days.
DryDoc-Glad you enjoyed the party food, I'll tell Jean!

I've done all my practical courses as Safewater, all been excellent, never forget navigating back into Mersey in the dark, amazing how close you can get to a bouy before you see it, or is that just me!! Brian and Mark are top blokes
I did my shore based courses as Hoylake Sailing School, again excellent training, nothing too much trouble
