I feel sorry for all the ribsters around the west of Scotland. The only thing that's been mooring there is low pressure off the Atlantic!!!
Cause- briefly high pressure over Europe especially Eastern Europe. Not one cell but a large stagnant area over most of it. Heat waves in France to mention one.
So any low from the west just sits there and doesn't move!!!! As Scotland and NW England already knows.

Ahhhhhemmmm!
Last week, Friday I think it was.
I awoke from night shift to the sound of battering hail stones o the roof and window.
Back garden was white for 10 mins until it melted.
Absolutely dire.
Anyhow I'm off hill walking again on Thursday instead of sibbing.

well everyone on the west coast of Scotland you will all be happy to hear that from Friday I will be up there for a week ribbing and have ordered fine and sunny weather for the whole week .and I am more than happy to share it with anyone free of charge so fill your boots its going to be glorious. just don't expect to catch any fish as I will have them all

I have just enjoyed another fantastic long weekend in Knoydart and Loch Hourn. Bit remote for most though ? My skin is waterproof and my SIB doesn’t mind a bit of chop...not that I have seen that much rough stuff ..so Im not complaining. The grass is always greener on my side of the fence

Hill walking in Knoydart is something else and not for the faint of heart


Cloudy..humid and flat calm on Loch Hourn


The mighty Ladhar Bheinn ridge .. finest hill in Knoydart..overshadows Loch Hourn


All the hill scenery tired me out so I had a rest on a deserted shore..miles from anywhere


Then followed a pod of porpoise back to the wild camp site


Yup..I cant complain about my summer.. long may it continue
