Which hull is better?

Here's a nice easy one for you knowledgeable people. Would a Valiant DR490 be likely to perform better than an Avon Supersport 4.65 in a choppy sea, everything else being equal? TIA..

Pretty close call I would think. From memory, I think the Valiant has tubes that stick out further behind the transome than the Avon, But what effect that has I don't know.

Good luck anyway.
