Which roundtail tender?

Was at the Southampton show last week and was a bit disappointed with the lack of roundtail (no transom) dinghies

We have a tiny and I mean tiny avon from the early 90s and it still holds air even after it was attacked by mice. Its not pretty but its done the job many times.

Unfortunately we keep getting caught out with having more than 2 people on the boat and i'm sick of 6 or 7 trips each way.

I found 1 roundtail at the show. A little zodiac but it was hugely overpriced, had quite small tubes and no inflatable floor or slats

has anybody seen anything out there or am I going to have to buy another old avon redcrest or redseal off ebay?

Ideal boat would be 4 person capable and have an inflatable floor

Little pic of the current boat after it was vandalized by rodents!

purely for storage, but if I don't find one I might have to go to a transom type

The air deck floors compress well and even the biggest will fit in a golf size cars with an engine and all the bits i.e. oars launching wheels etc. As I said if you are free at the weekend I can show you a 3.2 and 4m version and the bags they go in if that helps?

We have an Avon Redstart that we've had for 13 years now, but not sure it's any larger than your current dinghy. We originally bought it as a tender for our old Avon 620, and have then used it on the sailing yacht for the last 9 years. We can easily can get 3 people in whether rowing or motoring. 4 rowing is quite a balancing act, but fine if using the engine.

It's stored rolled up year round, and get's very little attention, but still looks as new and works perfectly. With the airdeck it takes only a few mins to unpack/pack. If we ever needed to replace, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to buy another Redstart/Redcrest for similar duties - it works very well.

Just looked at the 3d tender, I was super impressed with its size in the bag compared to any other transom dinghy
