Who has the FASTEST!

Ok,

What is the fastest RIB then...
All the kids in my street keep asking me how fast is it & whats the fastest?
So over to you lot..

I know there are some very fast scorp's, & falcons, BUT what is the DADDY of them all & no, I'm not after the biggest just the fastest..

Has anyone done 100mph in a RIB?

Pete

(also would like a go in it)

Well, Mike Deacon was doing very well in racing until the arrival of...

Techno 40 (also on this forum)

Also see http://www.fbdesign.it/

Brian's been for a spin in that RIB (Eraser2) and enjoyed himself immensely by all accounts. If you ask the guys, I'm sure they will welcome you aboard.

Very simple answer

It's the Techo 40.

Also there are plenty of RIB's faster than Mike's.

Regards

Mark

Techno 40

Met Brian in Kinsale last Saturday (Cyanide) and Mike and Di (Magellan Alpha). Unfortunately the Techno 40 did not turn up and I was hoping to blag a ride. They should be back in Kinsale or Crosshaven on Friday. They had a good crossing from Lands End in calm seas

Pics are in Kinsale

I think FB RIB 55 makes faster speed with 4x800 hp Seateks than Techno 40. Top speed for 55 footer is something near 85-90 knots. I'd remember 40 footer is "slower".

As far as I can remeber, they got this one up to 85 Knots (close to but not quite 100mph). Must be the fastest RIB monohull with outboards.

Did around the Isle of ?Wight? in 48 minutes, averaging 75Knots.
