He's got one of mine there too now - not much on it to pull apart though.
I have to say Biff was vision in the mist as he strolled down his path in his dressing gown - I was momentarily afraid a gust may reveal more than was needed that early .
I've never seen you not smiling - how do you do that ? !

The grinning's fine - just don't "bare it" in your dressing gown! ;-)

Haven't seen him yet, he couldn't do it straight away anyway, I've got all the back out to get at the wiring so I will fit a bilge pump in there while its all out, I'm going to fit it on a bracket so it will be serviceable, it's hard for me to get in there so you won't

Biffer is that a Johnson bilge pump?
What would you recommend as I'm cheesed off with my rule pumps only lasting a season!

It's a nice little pump, I have them on stormchaser the same, never had a problem, this one has an electronic water sensor on it so no float as such, it also has a little none return valve in the out let of the pump so it won't drain back, they ain't cheap but I feel it's one one the better ones that are out there and it's not a Chinese knockoff

Do you keep her afloat? Do you have any issues with it draining the battery, people with the rule auto sensing pump seem to complain of a background drain even if there is no water there do you have a gut feel if this is any better in that regard?

Different type of pump and switch, it will only come on when the two little sensors detect water, I'm putting it on a three way switch as well so you can have it on auto, manual or off . The little black box in the first pic has two round rings on it, if you wet your fingers and touch them, it sets it off, as you can see from the other pics the likely hood of getting your fingers down there is nil

Lovely....
Top job Biff.
I think i may have found an alternative to a boat cover, which involves undercover storage all year round- so may not need a decent cover now.
Speak to you soon.
If thats really is the depths of my boat in those pictures......can you give it a clean?.....looks terribly dirty.

Nearly done mate, finished up moving your fuseboard to keep it out of the water and pulling out most of your old wiring, cleaned the back end out, your console has got a yellow tinge to it, not sure if I can match the colour exactly to fill the holes in on the top

Biff - just to keep you on your toes..can you do a quick measure on mine for me please ? Enough of this WIBS chaps work ...he'll understand and I heard he kept breaking stuff anyway wont you James ??
I'm after outside width at top of console (where compass is mounted ) and width of black plastic that compass is mounted in ) Make sense ? I've some shiney bits to bolt on and hope they will just bolt on.....
Have you got anyone who can do upholstery quickly sensibly priced?
Ta - welcome home !!!

I keep BP under cover but still have problems with owls (I know why they're called "little Owls" 'cos they're 'kin huge when they fly in, perch on the windscreen grab rail & dump all down the console, then they become "little") anyway, I got a new 1 tonne bulk bag, the type that builders merchants use to deliver sand etc. & it fits over the console perfectly & keeps the sh1t off
