Willard 7m actual length

Hi everyone, this is my first post here and I'm about to buy my first RIB.

I have tried to use the search function in here, but I haven't managed to find the answer I'm looking for, so I hope it's OK that I post a new thread aksing for this.

I'm getting a Willard 7m ex-Navy rib from my brother-in-law, but I have a question regarding the length of it. Somehow I thought in my head that a boat that's called 7m has got a hull of 7m, but that's not exactly true. I was told the hull is more like 21' 8" (6.6m), but how long is the the whole boat?

I've found a picture on Willard's site saying its length overall is 24' (7.3m), but I'm curious to know how they measure their LOA.

I'm guessing that LOA Is measured from the front of the tube at the bow, but where does it stop at the back?
1. At the tip of the cones?
2. At the transom?
3. At the sterndrive in normal position?
4. At the sterndrive tilted up?

It would be very helpful if anyone knows the answer to this questions. Thanks.

Overall length is from front of boat to far back end of tube , not hull and does not include motor overhang if any.

US Navy Willard Book for 7M FY01 boat (Seaforce 700) says overall length to end of tube is 7.24m and width 2.75m.

I just measured mine and I get 23' 6" from bow to end of tube...but they could use some air as its only 3 degrees C right now in BC. From bow to end of sterndrive which sticks out farther I get a solid 24'.
