Go to www.findafishingboat.com go to weather and tides where you have a choice of weather forcasts, and charts, you will also find the windguru on this site or you can go direct to this site. Hope this helps

Thanks Laser , typically Chimet is wont down load the data for that day , I am also looking for winds in the Basingstoke area . The wind speeds at Brambles were not high enough for my purposes if you get my drift!

Weather data
Hurst Castle any good? Data recorded every 10 minutes. 31 knots at 1000. 33 knots at 1400.

RAF Odiham?
Met Office?
They would be good sources for basis of insurance claim.

The Met Office certainly do 'aftercasts' for air accident investigation. Likewise if there is a small airfield nearby would be worth giving them a call as they ll probably have records too (size dependant though).

Popham airfield? There's probably an old boy who sits there meticulously recording wind speed, pressure and temp every hour!
