depends what you are looking for in a rib... bear in mind that lots of people here like their boats to be rugged and look rugged and can't understand why anyone would prefer a boat for posing in, just going fast in or using in perfect weather only... ...but if a fletcher is the alternative then the typical "buy a Searider" answer probably isn't going to tick your boxes.

I prefer the more work boat type of RIB but was pleasently surprised when I went out in Bam Bams Zodiac. He let me have a blast and it was like been sat in an arm chair, very comfy and everything fell to hand.
You do get what you pay for though.

That is a very good point.
Probably we should all have asked what will you use the boat for?

Something to go out in with the wife and daughter, maybe pull a ringo. But would cope with a slightly choppy sea better than the Fletchers I've had in the past.

I would have to say a smart rib, I like bench seats rather than jockey seats.

4k is not a bad budget for your first rib, would have thought it would buy a decent used SR4 package...
have you looked on boats and outboards?

Always looking on every site, but don't know enough about ribs to make a decision. The last thing I want to do is buy something I look the look of, then be disappointed with it on the water .Hopefully I can pick the brains on this forum to help...

What about the retro seariders with porn seats in?
Even cheaper to buy than one with a console.
