XM offshore suit impossible to source

Seems XM Yachting has been bought over by Plastimo. I’d bought their offshore bib trousers and jacket from them years ago and they’ve been hard wearing and warm, and fancied another jacket, as I’d replaced the trousers approximately 4-5 years ago. Trouble is you can’t source them, and probably need to ship from abroad, so plus taxes.

I don’t know the sizing of Helly Hansen Skagen, as XM sizing was pretty generous, and great value. I did find a set at Mersea Marine (not West Mersea Marine), but payment side on their website is down and phone goes to answer machine.

Anyone got the HH combo and like them? What’s sizing like?

I have the XM stuff as well and love it! Have you had a look on vinted? sometimes you get some good quality stuff on there second hand at a bargain and i've seen XM in the past.

Cheers Simon, never thought of Vinted. One or two things of interest. Long story short, managed to track one down and order it from Italy. My wife thinks I’ve lost the plot!

Easier with the manufacturer codes for anyone else that’s grown attached to XM Offshore kit. No idea why they make it in Anthracite colour, looks plug ugly!

Quite like their Ocean kit in yellow but easily double the price and then some.

Cheers Orwell. It's just the sizing. I'm a large in XM, but other manufacturers may be different. Shrink-flation will no doubt hit the yacht clothing market too!

You're lucky having all these places at your doorstep - so you can try the kit on.

Bought a Skagen in large from Foxes. The neck/cowl area is going to take some getting used to, but only needs to be up if the weather is atrocious. Little longer on the length too compared to the XM jacket.

Bear a thought for Jack Hawkins in The Cruel Sea, he got by with standard issue RN duffle coat and a mug of sweet tea!
