Xs Rib

Hi all,
I am thinking of buying a new Xs 500.
is there any one who has one ,nearish to Poole,Dorset that I could look at.
Have looked at some old ones and they seem small internally .
looking at Xs website the ones on there look bigger.
Dont want to have a 6 hr round trip to XS.
Thanks Mick.

i was at there factory last weekend dealing with James one of the owners it is a very professional set up. workshops immaculate. i had a look at a couple of new 5.5 meter ribs waiting to be sent to the new owner they do look very nice grey hulls with grey tubes. they had no consoles or seating fitted . they looked to be similar internal size to my humber destroyer .they do 3 different beam sizes im sure there no smaller than other ribs of the same size and the wider beam will be larger than others with a 2.3 meter beam

Xs Rib

Unfortunately based up north, but have an XS500.

Would say internal space depends upon chosen seating layout, although at 2.2m beam and large tubes the internal width is 1.2m. The 515 range is slightly wider at 1.25 and the 550 with its 2.6m beam has a 1.5m wide deck.

We went for a single jockey on our build to maximise open deck space, with the option of fitting a second jockey behind at a later date. More than often running solo or occasionally max three aboard.

Never fitted the extra jockey, and now carry a large storage box aboard. Passengers can sit on tubes or inboard on box, both with good handholds on jockey backrest. Not everyone’s taste but works for us.
