XS600 bow locker

Hello, wondering if anyone knows whether the bow locker on an xs600 is sealed?

Mine appears to be full of water and some kind of expanding foam - presumably to stop the anchor bouncing about - I have a bung for letting water out the hull along with trunk for deck water, if the bow locker is sealed what's the point in the hull bung??

I would have thought that under the foam there would be a small hole/channel for the water to escape into the hull void then by opening the bung it gets out.

Ok, have pulled, cut and scraped all the old expanding foam out expecting to find a small drain hole, but nothing there. Guess it’s ment to be that way unless anyone know differently. Might just get a replacement hatch - can see on xs website a water tight hatch is an option.

While the under deck hull void is effectively sealed, small amounts of water may find its way in, such as via an under deck loom etc. The main cause though is condensation and I tend to leave the drain open in between use to vent the void. Just remember to screw it in before launching [emoji6]

Chipko - if it was properly sealed condensation would never happen... (or at least not any appreciable amount). But without a drain if you do get a leak you are never getting it out.
