Yam Paint?

Does anyone know the paints that were used on Yamaha outboards throughout the years, I'm looking for the 1990's 2 stoke paints

I'm actually looking for the light blue colour but I cant find it.

The Yam code may be EK?

I get my aerosols of paint from Kevin Mole Outboards on the IOW. I have got paint for the Yamaha and the Suzuki and the colours have been a good match. I usually get the etch primer, colour coat and laquer. The paint covers nicely. Good service as well.

If you call BHG with the engine info - year/ serial number they will tell you the code ...

I have half a can ( as you know from Nos ) but think its the dark blue

Ocean Blue up to 1983
Marine Blue 1983-1993
Bluish Grey from 1994 to date
Dark Blue was that blue/purple colour that was used on the Origin range.
The only other colours were on the V-max engines or if your engine is an import it will be the same colour of the stern drives engines which is part no YMM-30400-MS (Marine Silver metallic) hth
