Yarmouth today
The weather forecast wasn't the best, but with a prior engagement planned for Sunday, thought we really should make use of the RIB today, so did a little hop from Poole to Yarmouth with a visitor for a slightly late lunch at the Wheatsheaf.
With SW winds, the passage up was pretty swift and comfortable, and lunch in the Wheatsheaf was superb as always. There was one other blue Scorpion moored up that had presumably stopped for lunch as well, but otherwise fairly quiet in the western Solent today!
Coming back home, Christchurch Bay was fairly nasty with wind against tide creating a fairly confused chop, but approaching Hengistbury things calmed down a bit and we were able to finish the run to Poole at good speed with the fading light.
Will hopefully be out again in coming weekends - a shame I can't do tomorrow again given the weather looks so good!
