Yesterday in Cowes

Just pottering around Cowes yesterday and suddenly found myself in the middle of a powerboat race......!

In truth, just a shot of one of boats (The Sunseeker SuperSport I think) heading out to start the last race. Fantastic to be out there watching - the noise and action of those big ones was a scary sight. Though not quite as scary as us trying to avoid all the other spectators doing the same thing!

One of the Class 1 boats did the Round the Island race last year although it was limited to 90mph in the Solent it still got the record - it was called Negotiator and is now called King of Shaves - owned by Chris Parsonage from Plymouth and it was badly damaged at the Plymouth GP although repairs are well underway now.

The P1 Evolution class are limited to 95MPH for all of thier races by the way!
