Yet another/again some more SR4 stuff

Most recent SR4 work started today .

I've always wanted an original one - this is very original (ish).

Anyone know if the wooded bits were what AVON fitted ? It all seems to be coming apart too easily really !

I need to sort the battery installation and strengthen the throttle mount.

Hull is quite well abused , but this really is just some fun for thrashing. I hope to get seats looking happier in next few weeks, bolt it all together, maybe new trailer tyres etc .

Console has been sprayed blue at some point and taken some cracking - maybe pull it off , get it filled and sprayed grey to match .

Tubes been patched so a little TLC there needed too - but would be usable now - but I want it better !

Seats gone off to 'the stitch' today to see what can be done..
I ..err... cleaned some stuff and played and polished my Johnson....

Any one any idea what the fixing beneath the fuel connection on the front of the engine is/was for? ( edit - ignore me - I had no idea these had an oil pimp /feed etc ...only used to the Yam engines...)

I may have to quiz Mike @ South Coast otherwise !

Been slow on this . - still waiting for seats back - but once in they should transform it . More cleaning today , had dash out for some tlc, polished the screen which seemed to help , but shows it has been 'scoured' in the past. .

I think better with grey dash....some before and after shots ( try to imagine it with nice new seats in ?)

These boats are just so simple to work on - great fun

Ta - while it could do with a 'touch up' in places it'll be OK for a bit .....

Was thinking about what was going on in the world when this boat rolled out Avon in stunning white to its new owner ....

Thatcher resigned
Nelson Mandela was freed
Iraq invaded Kuwait
And ( according to the web) the web was 'invented' - the first page and browser - and now look at us !
