re stainless or alli, I have a comany next door who have sheets and sheets of the stuff. I buy lots of polished stuff of them for my engine mounts on the Thundercats.

If you need anything let me know and I will ask them for you.

Got some 3mm for you Bruce, that's all they had. You'll have to get it cut to size, but you'll have some spare bits over. PM me you address and I'll check out postage.

Got the fuel tank in and various other little jobs done this week. tranducer mounted, anchor locker sheeted with rubber and CAD drew the light pole.
Lots of bits on order to continue with the build, next job is to make two straps for the fuel tank and fix the console base over it. At the monet it is sikaflexed in position but it needs fixed down better.
All the console holes now cut apart from the two side hatches which are on order. Waiting for various nuts and bolts to turn up to fix the bits in.

Send a message via Skype™ to Limey Linda
Looks very nice. Could you please post a drg. or pic of your mast/pole design.
I do not have room for an A frame, but I need something.
Cheers

Lots of little bits holding up production, from washers to connectors but getting there.
Console finished ready for internal connetions once mated back up to the base. floor readied for the base to be fitted and fuel tank fitted.
I am just waiting for some more SS penny washers to turn up and I will have the whole console in and can start running cables to the motor and aerials.
I am going to glass the inside of the console to the deck and have roughened the surface of both the deck and console ready for this. however I know nothing other than using Fastglas kits about glassfibre, what mat and resin should I buy to glass the joint on the inside to the deck?

OK, next issue is to find a pair of jockey seats.
The humber extreme version is a whopping £900 for a pair and they are not that good quality or even waterproof.
The Leeway ones would fit and are a better price but don't look very comfortable.
I am looking for a set of two narrowish, sealed seat pods with side openings and preferably saddle type seats.
Other than Outhill who seem outrageously expensive I have called most manufacturers who will not sell without a hull.
where else can I look? I'll need a set in the fairly near future.........

If there's any GRP laminators near you, they should be able to knock up a basic mould and make you a couple of jockeys, provided you're not looking for anything too fussy.

If you can convince them that they're not for a boat, that will keep the price down

'cos they know that if it's for a boat, then you've got so much money, you don't know what to do with it all

Option B:
I'll pop down to Codprawn's boat and splash a mould off one of his jockey pods when he's not looking, then get a friendly local laminator to knock out a pair of seats during his lunch break - yours for £600

Can't believe nobody's thought of that one before

Got the console screwed and sikaflexed in tonight. Will need to tidy up and glass in the inside later in the week to finish off and start running the cabling through the trunk.
It's starting to look the part now.
I have some parts on order now to start the stainless work, CAD drawing and payment away for the light pole at the rear (thanks Top Banana for the tip) and the altered motor mount plates for the transom. Hightower has sent me some plates, haven't had time to open it so far but the cheque is on the way to pay for the postage with thanks. They won't go to waste but I got too good a deal on a pole made up complete, I need some plates for other reinforcing and stainless bits that I will make up myself so they will get used on the boat on various places including reinforcing the outboard mount and making up various little plates and parts.
I'll need to some serious research soon on seats and start looking at decking. I used diamond treadmaster last time glued down, may use the lighter pattern version this time as I won't be carrying lots of dive cylinders all the time on this boat.

I am waiting for Rick to get prices for pads and stainless parts to complete.
It is an option depending on what he comes back with.
