Yet another refurb thread
5.8 destroyer 150 hp merc
Been sat sometime on an RAF base of all places
Cleaned her up a little to start with
Ripped all console and bottle rack out
Check and cleaned up engine
Removed various bits from a frame
Adapted new shape cowl to engine
Coat of paint
New seating and jockey console ready for glossing in
Just noticed the thread title Curb lol proxy I pads

woke up nice n early 4.00am to get my steed into work so as i can get my glass work done,,,,,,,
Grrrrrrrrrrrr crunting brakes are seized or frozen in the cables,, on my trailer,,,, why do i have to have neighbours cant exactly get the hammer our my rattle gun out can i,,,,,,,,,, off to work for few hrs ,, whilst i await others enjoying there weekend lie in
either way it will be glassed up and flo coated today,,,,,,,,i hope,,,, or it will be another 3 weeks before i get any room in our big shed

Grinding 3 hrs. before/afterwards
Double check every thing is dry,, lots of heat where required few test holes in numerous areas of deck, so as to ensure no dodgy soaked timber is present,

Manufactured up a marine ply section for easy storage of anchor and rope in Bow, glassed under both sides, then glassed to deck accordingly
long time spent removing lots of dust, then some heavy scrubbing with acetone to the deck,
Layer of glass to 90% of deck to seal of any holes from previous screwed in console/bottle rack and various deck fixings, plus its a nice new blank canvas to work up from
