Youth Powerboating

New website launched - more content coming soon!

Boat secure, all we need now is an engine! We are seeking sponsorship at the moment to help us kit our boat out with an engine. The sooner we have an engine the sooner we can get our members out on the water.

Remember membership is free, so join today! Get your kids involved and out on the water learning on our new C-Fury RIB soon to be kitted out with a new engine. More photos and info to follow, all very exciting.

We will be offering RYA Training Courses to all our members at cost price in the next 12 months, watch this space.

Follow us on twitter @JuniorRIBsters or join our facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/groups/junio...ref=ts&fref=ts

The more followers, support and good press we get the better the events get and the bigger the opportunities for our young members!

Thanks to all of the RIBnet gang that have supported us so far and have joined.

Big thanks to RIBnet for sponsoring us with a trade account!

We want your ideas and feedback, so please, talk to us! Lets start creating a more vibrant youth powerboating scheme but safely!

Well done you. Good to see people helping kids not moaning about them.

Thanks for your replies, yes unfortunately although our younger drivers are quite often the most skilled, they can often be 'branded' with a bad name and very often at yacht clubs we are experiencing a lack of support for younger safety boat drivers. One of our aims is to change this mindset and endorse younger safety boat drivers. We hope to be working with a RIB manufacturer over the next year or so in developing a rib package ideal for safety boat work and younger drivers with minimal but effective power. Junior RIBsters aims to sponsor this over time via funds raised from events. All our funds are invested back into our members and the company to directly benefit our young RIBsters.

If our boat is ready by then hopefully some of our Junior RIBsters Members can join in on the fun and take our boat with one of the instructors... Could you please add info@juniorribsters.com to the 'interested' list and keep us up to date.

Thanks

I am working towards introducing the scouts (11 - 14yrs) to power boats and so perhaps could bring a team to events in North Wales? I have bought an ancient little rib for use with the scouts. I can't seem to sign up for the youth power boat website being a little over 21(!)

All the best

David
