ZAPCAT

hi cookee.
the zapcat racing is at Rhosneigr on the west coast of Anglesey
this weekend 21/22 June, the racing starts around 12 and will go on all afternoon.
This will be the first round of the championship andour first proper race we raced in the shakedown at Paignton and finished
12th on Saturday and 4th on Sunday (beginners luck!)
Chris my trusty navigator is looking forward to it asthere are no intercoms so she will not have to listen to an hour of colourfull
language from me,she said she will give me hand signals I still have not worked out what two fingers mean as she uses that one a lot, perhaps it means we are second?
How did you get on in Ramsgate? I hope you had better luck than
us had a d-q on Saturday but then so did everyone else,on Sunday we led into the first turn then we got some real big air came down eventually not sunny side up but it righted only to hook in front of the persuing pack of O.C.R boats only some good avoiding action saved a nasty one. Still the party on Friday and Saturday were good. I hope the Zapcat crews like a party!!
If you go to Rhosneigr look out for number 69 Taffys On Tour
We shall be racing with a black band on our Zapcat as we are racing in honour of a great friend of ours Mic Randal who sadly died last week and shall be sadly missed.

see you soon
Captain.

Kirky - nice to hear from you!

I think that's a little far for me to go for the day from sunny South Devon! Good luck for the weekend - are you sure she's not racing with you in a Zapcat BECAUSE there are no intercoms?

Say hi to Euan for me, and tell him to answer his emails!

Sorry your weekend didn't go so well - neither did ours! We seized the moter, although all it needs is a piston. It wouldn't be so bad but it was the second time last week!

Have a look at http://groups.msn.com/offshoreuk or http://www.boatmadforum.co.uk/forumd...?s=&forumid=18 for the full story!

See you soon

Mic Randle

I see you mentioned Mic Randall has passed away, is this the Mic Randle of Sea Wise in Swansea?
