Zapcat loony :D

Nathan Rykers was in tears and looking like he could do with good night’s sleep or two - and with very good reason...because he undertook the whole journey in an inflatable Zodiac dinghy, 20 feet shorter than the next smallest craft in the field and packing only 50 horsepower.
Along the way he tackled 40-foot waves in Bass Strait and at one point jumped into the water in pitch black conditions just to make sure his outback motor was still working properly.
“I just wanted to see what it was like to battle the famous City to Hobart,” he told 7 News of his unusual expedition.
His effort might have seemed foolhardy to some but he insists he was well-prepared for a race that has claimed 11 lives in 73-year history.
He had 200 litres of fuel with him and also three EPIRB devices.
“I have researched this very thoroughly for quite a long time,” he insisted.

I'm quite impressed actually, that was a serious feat of looniness. Fair play to him.

He said he refuelled twice hugging the coast. 200 litres is hell of a weight on a zapcat.
