Zodiac 733 outboard conversion

I am considering converting my Zodiac with an inboard to an outboard.
The current motor is a Volvo Penta diesel 6 cylinder.
My understanding is any outboard from a single 130hp to twin 200's would be suitable.
Does this sound about right?

You want twin 150s or if single, a 250.

Yep, it will plane on a single 150 or larger. 250 is a good single, people at Hurricane unofficially suggested not to go larger than that.

I was thinking of putting a pod on, then add a Saltwater series II Yamaha 2 stroke 200HP. They seem like a robust motor.
Getting rid of the inboard would open up the under deck space for plenty of storage.
