Zodiac Cherokee Restoration Opinion

Hello, new here but have been lurking for a little while. I recently came across an old disassembled, deflated, missing parts Zodiac Cherokee for sale for a couple hundred dollars. I have not seen the boat in person, it is about an hour drive away, and the seller has little to no info for me. My main question is, is it even worth looking at? I realize it will be a lot of work to restore it, I am looking for a project to slowly work on. Also if anyone can ID the model/year it that would be amazing.

Info from the seller: "Model is Cherokee, Tube not inflated, no visible damage. Hull seems sound.

cherokee

That looks very much like a boat I looked at a couple years back. It is a very big project to reassemble everything and based on the condition of the tubes it may not be worth it.

If you want to send me a PM I'd be happy to share more info.

Tube looks like junk. New tube would set you back about $3k and 15-20 hr of labor to install if a pro does it.

If the GRP is in good shape, I'd offer maybe $100. If it is in bad shape, I'd offer to dispose of it at no charge.
