Zodiac Hurricane Build (2.0)

Late last year I finally found a small Hurricane. It was not in the best shape ever but was priced very fairly considering. I was eager to take on the project and get the boat up to snuff. I will just post a bunch of pictures below for you guys to look at. I would much appreciate any feedback. suggestions/criticism is always welcome. I will try and post the pictures in order.

The boat is a 1984 Cw Lucas (later bought buy Zodiac) H400 model
it is almost identical to the Zodiac Hurricane 440

The boat lived in the ocean at a marina and the bottom was in pretty rough shape... covered in anti fouling paint and barnacles... here goes several days of hard work, lucky my best friend has a big shop and a forklift!

We also refit the trailer so that I can easily load it in rough water without help.

I'll just start spamming photos

Here is pictures of the add I bought it from and its first day out....

I couldn't deal with spending the $200 on a keel guard, So in it's place I sprayed $20 worth of line X bed liner. Also the lat one all waxed up and the tubes cleaned with toluene and protected with 303 Aerospace protectant

My boat came with the most horrifying POS trailer that man has ever created, I needed something that I have faith in pulling on the highway and something that is easy to load the boat up in rough water while I am on my own. My buddies forklift made life easy for lifting the boat on and off for test fitting. I added bunks and rollers as well as fit it with new springs, spring hangers and submersible lights.

Here's the trailer complete, rust protection paint and one with how the boat sits on it.

So I got the boat in the water and was able to achieve just shy of 2 knots more at WOT with 2 people and 2 dogs aboard. 26.1kts on my GPS with a 13 degree prop

Looks great!

What brand of truck bed liner did you spray on the keel?

The shop I bought it from (Industrial Plastics) called it "red"..... that was just a sticker on the shelf I don't know if they were really trying to pass it off as red or what. apparently true red pigment is difficult to make.
