Zodiac maximim transom weights error?

Guys

The honda 90 is 174kg, the zodiac handbook supplied with the pro open550 says max 165kg, but the Zodiac 2006 brochure says 195kg

- does anyone know if zodiac has beefed up the transom or not?

whats the real maximum - is the motor (which has been on since new) too heavy?

does anyone have access to any zodiac technical data?

Cheers
Mark

I've sent you a PM - my manual says max weight 189kg and max HP 120 for the 2007 model. However, the marketing brochure suggests the max weight is 195kg which supports the fact that I have seen Suzuki 115 4-strokes on the transom - weight 189kg plus fluids!!

Hope this helps

Regards

Dave

thanks guys

My 1999 hull is plated 165kg and this has been confirmed back to me today by a specialist.

More recently Zodiac have been stating 195kg - i have records from 2005 and 2006, but I'm not sure when this changed exactly. I also have written to zodiac for them to reconfirm against my serial number.

It looks like changes have occurred, maybe Zodiac new of the problem and beefed it up!!

Zodiac rep confirmation

Today a Zodiac representative confirmed to me:-

1) the transom max for my year is 165kg - exactly as the CE plate on the boat.

2) The dealer is supposed to abide by certain 'rules' and comply with various CE requirements and in putting a heavier engine on they break that Agreement.

3) On more recent years the max transom weight has been increased - to target 4 strokes - as the earlier versions were designed for the 2 stroke market

so it all stacks up now....
