Zodiac Open 7 and an Axopar 22

I am trying decide between a Zodiac Open 7 and an Axopar 22 https://www.axopar.fi/range/axopar-22-spyder/ (and maybe a Saxdor 20)

Leaving aside the price differences what would readers of this forum go for ?

Boat would be used for blue water beach hopping in light to moderate seas but I guess the deciding factor would be which is the better sea boat when the chop and swell picks up which is likely to rule out the Saxdor 20

In the case of the Zodiac I would have to go for a 250hp outboard and a 175 hp for the Axopar these being the only available engine options I have at this time. Both Mercury.

One's a RIB, the other's not. Nice looking and will perform well, I had no idea Axopar made them and reasonably priced too.

Depends on your usage I guess so everyone can only offer an opinion based on their own experience and needs. I'd go with the Axopar. Highly subjective.

RIBase
We have 3 x Axopar 28's and an Axopar 24 on the Dry Stack. Owners are very happy with the way they handle The Solent "chop". If I moved away from a RIB, they would definitely be on my short list

RIB Shack run Axopars alongside the RIBs in their shared ownership scheme too, so presumably there’s a reasonable amount of crossover.

A good friend has a quarter share in one of their Axopars. Really well made boat and rides very well.

How a 22 would compare, I don't know but as a concept, much closer to a Rib. If it's made as well and cuts the water as well then for the price it'll be a great day boat.
