Zodiac Pro 420 Bow Cushion

I've recently bought a new Zodiac Pro 420 and unfortunately, Zodiac don't make a cushion to fit the bow locker. Has anyone had one made for this model and can point me in the right direction? TIA

I used to have the same boat. I got my mother in law to make one (she was a tailor by profession).

Your best bet is to ask these guys to make one. https://www.marine-trim.co.uk/pages/...oat-upholstery

I remember a few years ago Outhill Mouldings used to sell them, but they were bought over by Cheetah Marine so that side has stopped as far as I'm aware.

Watch how it's secured. I think they use Velcro, but I'd ask for a vinyl tab with a brass eyelet to be added so you can tie off to the anchor locker or bow roller.

It is possible to make your own cushions

If you are any way handy it is easy to make cushions your self without sowing. I redid all the cushions on a 6 M rib I just bought with no experience.

1) Get some 15mm marine ply, cut to the shape you want, include a couple holes in the center to allow air flow. Paint with marine paint.
2) Order the foam dimensions and density you want from www.foam2home.co.uk , they can cut the shape you want, get the draylon cover and net included. ( Foam should overlap the wood by about 1" on).
3) Order some marine vinyl / fabric to match what is there already. eufabrics.com are based in Birmigham and are easy to deal with.
4) Streach the vinyl out tightly over the foam, (heating with a hair dryer makes it easier to stretch). Staple with 8 mm stainless staples (Screwfix have them). Trim the excess vinyl (loads of examples on YouTube for the method)
5) Add some velcro.

^^^Nice job.

Use monel staples.
I use them on the upholstery on my own boat & no rust or staining issues.
Ebay.

Polar Bears at Barnstaple did mine in exactly this way - although they used dry suit fabric to ensure a bone dry seat rather then match in the existing.
