will link it to a 50hp 4 stroke.

will be used in the solent area

thanks

zodiac

I bought a zodiac pro sold dec 2001 second hand recently after a lot of research , I wanted it for a training boat so it needed to be backed by good dealers ( so far zodiac have been excellent )
and because the last owner had not used it and had not even fitted it out I am putting an outhill 2 person console on it . It came with a 35 3 cylinder evinrude and it really flies .
It is a light boat and basically does not need a monster o/board
however consider your engine carefully as the new ones are long and the old ones (like mine) are standard shaft. if going 4 stroke look at the weight since you can often get better performance from a 2 stroke and the weight saving = more performance and lower costs.
Build is excellent and frankly when I took mine to sea with 2 bloaters on board it went very well through some rough chop.
Please do yourself a favour and do not buy a bench seat unless you want to lay on it at rest , go with a jockey!!

if you want shout and you can try it out.

Thanks for the reply,

Am leaning towards the pro 9 with the suzuki 50hp 4 stroke with consule, built in fuel tank and bench seat (comes as standard). - basically their standard package. Can get it new for under 8K with trailer which seems like a good deal. Humber is a long way away for me if there was warranty problems.

Was conserned about the PVC tubes as most around here don't seem to like them. Hare read about the seam problems around the cone area !!!

Had a look at a caribe c13 plus tonight niice looking rib and good quality finish - med deep V hull, but I think a little short in length.

Thanks for the offer no idea where hern Bay is - must look it up

Ta

Hi Jackeen,

There's a Dublin name if ever I heard one !

I'd agree ... stay away from bench seats ( beloved of Zodiac) on a small boat like this.

They take up a lot of room and make a small boat like this hard to balance with just one up !

Best wishes,

Stuart
