Zodiac Pro 7

Hi all. Help need advice. I'm looking at buying another boat & this came up :
Zodiac Pro 7. Center consul 2006. Virtually as new. ( & it is I've seen the pictures ) Etec 60hp, 200hrs on both boat and motor. Full documentation.
Hydraulic steering, power trim, inbuilt tank, full instrumentation, new Garmin plotter/ depth & winter cover. 750kg road trailer, also as new.
Equivalent of £6,000 sterling.
Does this sound like a sensible price ? All opinions welcome !

Seems a little expensive for a 2006 hull. The Zodiac Pro 7-man (4.2m), from memory was rated for 50hp. The Pro 9-man (4.7m) was powerered with 60hp or 70hp.

They're shallow v hulls so expect it to slap in the rough stuff. Still capable leisure RIBs, and I got a lot of use from mine on the North Sea. You can squeeze an auxilliary on if you opt for a 2-stroke on an auxilliary bracket.

The tubes are PVC (strongan duotex). Always came up well and the general finish was excellent. The fibreglass console isn't particularly robust so check for tell-tale spider web cracks in the gelcoat.

Zodiac accessories are legendary in terms of cost, but you can add anchor locker bow cushion, A-Frame, etc.

Hi Spartacus, Sorry for the delay getting back to you ( my bed was calling ). Thanks for the advise. The boat is in showroom condition, I can't find a mark on it or the trailer! Engine has been recently serviced by an authorized dealer. The price is including tax.
I take on board your point about the shallow V. We don't have much depth of water where I am, average is about 30 mts, plus the fact that the Baltic drains through here, we get sharp waves with a short amplitude & strong currents. Adds up to some pretty Squirrely seas at times. Predominatly though it's pretty flat. Perhaps I should be looking for something with a deep V ? Decisions, decisions !
