Zodiac Pro Open 650

Greetings,

I am considering purchasing in Canada a Zodiac Pro Open 650 with a Yamaha 150. Can anyone comment on the durability and quality of boat. I was looking to get Hypalon however Zodiac is indicating their new 'Sharc' fabric is better.

Any insight on this boat; good, bad or indifferent would be appreciated.

Thanks!

In France there have been a few problems with that model. What choice of manufacturers do you have?

We have Zodiac, Avon, Polaris, Caribe, AB, Novurnia. What impressed me the most about this boat was it's seating configuration. The back seat is very well laid out. I have heard the PRO 650 had hull problems a couple of years ago which was corrected. Which problems have you heard about?

Thanks

Have you looked into Polaris? I'm pretty happy with my 15.5ft aluminum "Spirit" with an interior built to my specifications for diving. Bench seat with dry storage, a tiny console to not take up excess space, nice big anchor locker, and a 8 tank rack I designed. Load carrying capacity with a 60hp has been tremendous.

I don't have any firsthand knowledge of their larger models, but if they are anything like the one I have you should check them out.

Thanks for Polaris link - they are definitely on my short list as I hear there are very well built and highly recommended.
