Zodiac Tube removal

Hello

I have a Zodiac YL340 and need to remove the tubes to troubleshoot a leak and or replace the tubes.

How are they attached to the boat?

Thanks!!!!!

If it's the same as the biggerZodiacs then they're attached the same way a sail goes up a mast, a channel in the hull and a rope sewn glued into the tubes, let a little air out to relieve the pressure and slide each side up a little at a time.

Watch this video.

Deflate the tubes. There's 4 bolts at the bow, either allen or phillips... They are located on a flap above the lip of the fiberglass. It helps to pull the tubes towards the bow a little bit. After the bolts are removed, spray the tube rails with soapy water, then simply yank the tubeset off. It helps to have the boat on a trailer, hooked up to a truck so when you pull, the trailer doesn't move.

Warning : Be sure to tarp the winch post so you don't scuff the tube.
