1st Boat Wanted

Hello everyone,

Im new here, and new to boating. Im doing my powerboat Level2 in a couple of weeks time and looking to buy a small RIB early in the summer which i can take around the coast whilst in Devon.

Any pointers on what to get/lookout for all welcome. If anyone has anything suitable, with a trailer let me know. i dont have a huge budget but enough i think to get on the water.

Thanks.

Hi Ben - a very big welcome to RIBnet

Top marks for doing your PB2 - its an ideal chance to learn, look, ask questions, talk to other boaters etc - so enjoy.

Quite obviously this is the home to all things RIBs but take your time and have a look at other alternatives (that's me excommunicated ) to make sure what you buy suits your needs - essential you try before you buy.

Good luck

Think hard, and try lots....

I bought a 3.4 valiant which looked the right size, ok to fit in the garage. BUT after a few trips out, and loads of reading here, now have a 5m rib and am waiting for the new season to sell the other one.....

Oh and ask loads of questions
