5.5 -6m rib wanted. £7-£10k

Looking for a rib for a friend. First boat.

It must be in good nick and reliable engine. I'd imagine 4-8 years old but clean.

Humber, delta, ribquest preferred. Low ish engine hours ideally with full service history, ideally from dealer.

Must be deepish V and with either modern two stroke or 4stroke.

Layout not a big issue.

Trailer a must though.

What's out there near North West ideally?

Private or trade, cash waiting.

Ribcraft 585 with Optimax 115. Hull is 1998 tubes have no patches and suffer no loss of pressure. repackaged in 2005 with the superb Mercury Optimax 115 which suits this hull perfectly, two stoke power with four stroke economy, with only 130hrs the motor looks and performs as new. Hydraulic Zero Feedback Steering, twin “Smartcraft” Gauges, Icom DSC Radio, Navman Sounder/Finder, Garmin 152 Gps, Compass, Metz Antenna, Rule 1500GPH Bilge Pump, Stainless “A” Frame with Nav Lights. Indesension Roller Coaster 8 Trailer again new in 2005 and is kept away from the elements by a full custom made quality cover, separate console cover, Twin Jockey seats, I have all of the original manuals and receipts for the Motor, Trailer and servicing.

There's a 1998 Humber Destroyer 5.5m at Ash Marine. Tohatsu 70hp. Good price at £5,999 as could be repowered.

€12,950 asking means €12,500 tops, maybe less = £10,250 ono

We'll see. I disagree though. A 5.4sr with modern 2 stroke 4yrs old say or Humber 5.5 or ribcraft 585can be sought for under £10k easily.

6m or more with over a 115hp I'd agree. Sub 6m they are out there. Already seen two nice ones with optis on just outside warranty.
