5.5 - 6m rib wanted

Hi all,

Long time lurker first time poster!

Iv been following this forum for the last year and have gained some great insights from some of the threads, its an excellent resource.

After owning a few different boats bowrider, surfcat etc. I would like to invest in my first rib!

I plan to use it on the West coast of Ireland which can be pretty exposed at times so I'm looking for something fairly capable such as a humber or ribcraft, 5.5m + with a 3-4 jockey seats so I can bring friends along ( ideally a double console but I don't think that's possible on most ribs of this size?).

Budget is tight at £8k, I'm more concerned about condition than age but would need something reliable from 2000 onwards. The availability, condition and standard of maintenance tend to better in the UK so I would be willing to travel to the UK for the right boat.

Does anyone have anything that fits the above criteria?

Do you think are my budget/criteria realistic enough?

Hi TSM,

Living in the Wicklow/Carlow area and have been doing a good bit on the Shannon.

I had a jetski (yes, controversial I know!) for a few years and have been spending a good few weekends on the west coast from Cork to Sligo over the last two years on the jetski and friends ribs and have decided I'd like invest in a rib!
