flywheel for 70hp Tohatsu M70B 2 stroke 3 cyclinder wanted.

My flywheel decided to throw its magnets today so I need a knew one. Looking for something second hand. The engine is a 1996 70hp M70B Tohatsu 2 stroke 3 cyclinder 1 litre. It may be the same as other engines (e.g. Tohatsu 60hp) but I'm not sure.


Does anyone happen to have one lying around or know of somewhere that might have one?

Seems the Tohatsu 2-stroke is like an endangered species. Try emailing the contact listed here. I've been to his yard, and it was like a whale graveyard!

Checked out the part for 70B models, <2003 so part 3F3-06091-1 is obsolete.

One Florida forum suggested JB Welding magnets back in position. Tohatsu 70 HP Flywheel Magnet Issue - Pensacola Fishing Forum

My power-trim on my 2006 M60C engine was rebuilt using carbon brushes for a motorcycle and springs from a Meccano set.

Hi Dave,
I have one off a 90hp that might fit?

Edit: Just checked, mine is a TLDI with the notches for the crank position sensor. So I dont think it will.
