HELP RIB Wanted upto 5000

Hi Hello and Help, im new to this rib scene lol, im looking for a good size RIB to fit me and the family on for fun days out etc, wants to seat 5 people and have enough power for a good play and maybe an inflatable.

Any Suggestions of suitable boats or any you may have for sale all is welcome and any help appriciated

Hello Tim and welcome to the Forum.

There's a good selection of Ribs within your budget to choose from. Opinion will differ on here as to the make and model but don't let that put you off the right boat for YOU and you needs.

What size are you looking for ? What age, engine HP would you prefer ? Are you new to boating, or just Ribs ?

We have a few on our books at the moment, nothing I'd say perfect for your needs right now (unless the 4.5m Valiant is big enough) but that changes quickly so its worth keeping an eye on it. Link below

Also worth peaking to one of the guys on here about a RYA Powerboat Course, great value and well worth doing if your new to the water

Hi Peter thanks for the info I was looking at your Valiant but I'm not sure if it is big enough. When I say I'm new to it I mean I'm new to it as a hobby I hold a power boat level 2 which I done for work a few years ago but I fancy getting out over the summer with the wife and kids. I have limited experience but more in the commercial side of boats as I work in the offshore wind industry

4.5m with four people on will be fine, mine's 4.7 and works a treat.

Maybe not the biggest for offshore cruising but great for running out with a picnic on board and simples to launch and recover on most slips

I'd agree its big enough for the occasional fully loaded use and would be perfect for the inshore waters but I think 5k buys Tim the option of a bigger Rib, maybe older or with a 2 stroke engine but still larger and more capable in the rough stuff.

Have a look out there Tim and give me a shout if I can be of any help. Happy to take a look for you if its local to us, or let you know if we come by any on our travels. With that in mind I know Steve at KB Dry stack had a 5m with Yam 60 on it for £4,000 not so long ago, maybe an option ?
