Hi and welcome to Ribnet.
If you use the search function you will find similar questions coming up quite regularly. First off, there is a big difference between a 5 mtr RIB and a 6 mtr RIB. You need to decide what you want to use the RIB for, how many crew you need to accommodate and hence what size will suit your needs. If all things are equal a 5 mtr RIB will be less expensive than a 6 mtr RIB.
You might want to think about the fit out you will need, number of seats, and seating arrangements. What electronics are you after? Engines(s)? Questions, questions
You use the word "nice" in your description, this means different things to different people, but if you are meaning something close to as new condition you will need to up your budget considerably. If you are driven by budget, think what your minimum requirements are, and then search for them.
If you can provide more details, you might get a better response on here.

Hi Ian. I stay in Oban on the west coast of Scotland so will be used for fairly long distance island visiting and general trips with friends and family. It would need to take 4-6 people in comfort so on there own jokey seat as it gets quite rough at times. Ideal engine would be a 4 stroke or newer two stroke as reliability is key. I have found a nice bwm with a 200 suzuki outboard but engine reliability could be an issue..??? Thanks for all the help.

Nice boat for sale
I have a Marlin 19' which is the best of the nice boats.
It's a super yacht tender really so is well good offshore as it has a very wide beam and does not stuff it's nose as its square.
It's a 2006 model but has not been used for the last three years through my ill health.
It has allways been stored inside and been privately used.
It has a three year old Honda 150 hp outboard extra long shaft with 24 hours yes twenty four hours. It is still under Honda warranty . It has two stainless steel props and a four bladed alloy prop all different sizes cruising hole shot in between . Hydraulic steering, 130 ltr stainless alloy tank placed at COG under deck with access hatch. More space under the boat with lockers galore and sun beds or seats bathing platform with fresh water shower. Stepped hull with flooding front compartment that makes the boat Rock steady at rest so it's ideal for the ladies and for fishing ect as you don't get sea sick .There are twin chartplotters big screen small screen radio, bilge pumps horn, nav lights, windscreen ,guard rails, warps, fenders, bouy, smart gauges for the engine, fuel cock, main electric switch , water tank, life jackets, boat hook, hard nose with anchor storage ready to deploy, chain / warp locker , bow roller for anchor ,stepped tubes with square front section so the water line is longer than its overall length. That's cheaper to moor ect .
New Admiral trailer. This has been maintained regardless of cost or manpower.
There are no patches and none needed as it does not deflate even after months however I always leave it deflated.
It has all the usual marlin refinements and more besides.
However it is double your budget and I only mention as a guide.
It has come the time when I really must decide that O will never be able to use it again.

Hi treemendos. I have actually purchased a rib so am not looking anymore. Yours sounds like a very nice rib and hopefully in a few years I will be looking at something like yours. Thanks. Michael.

nice one....enjoy :-)
much better than the other one you were considering.
just be careful when you come to a stop with the lack of freeboard at the back, you'll get used to it in no time though.
cheers

Ah yes, the deck washdown! It just needs a gradual slow, or a quick flick to the left or right.
Lovely looking boat though.

Haha yeah that had me worried but out on the water test it was all good. There are two big bilge pumps as well so should be fine. I will need a new prop for it soon. Any places best to get one from.?

Westcoaster
I think Biffer or maybe now Whisper, has a mould for that Ribtec to fix the deck washdown problem.
