Looking for quality RIB 6.0 - 6.5 metres

My old boat is now sold so am firmly on the market for a RIB.

Around 6.0 - 6.5 metres OAL (MUST be under 7.0m OAL).

Ideally two single jockey seats at helm, rear bench seat, must be very good condition with plenty of engine for size of RIB.

Budget is around the £30k mark.

Is the length a storage thing?...seems a shame with that Budget to put limits on your choices.
Good luck with youre search

Unfortunately yes. I leave my boats in the water in a marina as I boat all year round and it gives me quick and easy access. At 7.1 metres OAL the per metre cost rises substantially.

You could still include an RC 6.8 or Equivalent then!?...I'm down your way soon if you'd like a try in one

You may be surprised what difference 1/2 a meter in length (and corresponding Beam) makes

All about the length and width [emoji6]

What about something like a Brig or Ribeye?

Length is all in the eye of the beholder. Some measure tubes others hull, some with outboard some without. The question is how long is yours [emoji23]

"About"??...that's not like you!...
I concour Measuring can always be a little subjective BUT I've never seen ANY HINT a Tape measure used in decades of Boating either ....either dealing with Harbour officials or anyone else,launching..recovering...mooring...(even on places like Lomond where they are pretty Anal about such things)...OR staying In Harbour on Pontoons for extended periods.
Works for me.."It's a Ribcraft 6.8" always seems to get it sorted"

Don't tell me you refer to your R.C as a 7.1!...."about" Paul

My marina use a tape but it is the LOA on the trailer.

I do have the EXACT measurement but I don't have it to hand so I put a guide on.

I had to look to move to different storage recently so I have exact dimensions to the mm in house, if you REALLY want them I shall furnish you with it to the mm

I refer to my boat as.....wait for it.....my boat. If a marina ask the size I tell them it is a 6.8 for in water purposes, the outboard sticking out shouldn't really count....should it

I measured it properly, as in engine against a wall and tilted down to the hitch. Technically it is 7.9 something meters on the trailer, over 8m is more dosh some places....made it fit

I won't be needing the exact measurement..but in the interest of Ribnet Protocol ..Thanks all the same.
I can imagine in you're circumstances,I take ..an under cover indoor storage facility?..may well be a little more stringent on the precise length/m2 of the whole rig....Glad to hear you "Made it fit"..
Happily.. The Op was talking about mooring/pontoon fee's on the water, which obviously wouldn't include the Trailer...and as far as I'm aware the Engine either.
...Im pretty confident if he asked the Marina for a quote on an RC 6.8 he'd get precisely that and there would no problems
Be interesting to see what he ends up with...personally I'd much rather compromise on Storage in whatever form...rather than on the RIB I wanted!...and was Spending 30k on

The marinas up here can count outboards if they want, some count anchors and swim platforms....anything is fair game when it comes to boat prices.

I would always say 6.8 and let them try to say otherwise ofcourse.

Our marina is MDL, and they measure the actual OAL from furthest point at bow to furthest point at stern, engine included if it sticks out beyond the stern.

They do allow you to trim the engine down though..........

If there charges were based on size they’d probably have a giant Ryanair style baggage gauge!

Thankyou Jamie, still doing my research but I would probably be looking for more engine on a 6.5.
